We offer intraoral (local) dental X-rays in our practice
In intraoral X-rays, we can image the teeth periapically or we can image the crowns (bitewing X-ray).
In periapical X-ray, a single tooth with its root is visible, whereas in bitewing X-ray, several crowns of adjacent teeth in the upper and lower jaw are analysed.
The local (periapical) image of the tooth allows us to make an accurate diagnosis of the individual tooth, which is most often used when endodontically treating the tooth (root canal treatment).
Dental crown imaging is intended for the diagnosis of caries on the interdental surfaces of teeth and is an excellent diagnostic tool in the context of a comprehensive examination.
